Fredericksburg, TX

(This is a late blog post)

One of my best friends is getting married! Bree! She has been one of my oldest friends. We have stayed friends since high school, even though we went to different schools part of the time. We lived together after high school in Austin for a year and now she lives 8 hours away in west Texas. AND she asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! The wedding is in december and this post is about the bachelorette weekend.

November 14-16, Fredericksburg, TX

I was so happy Whitney could come with me this weekend! We don't get to spend much girl time together and this weekend was the perfect opportunity.

We rented a house in Fredericksburg, a pretty big house since there were 10 of us, and had the best time celebrating Bree! It was so fun to go on a "road trip" with Whitney. We talked the whole time (and the whole way back)! Just what we needed.

Friday night we stayed in and ordered pizza. Saturday we threw Bree a monogrammed shower and gifted her with all things monogrammed! Then we went to a few wineries, had dinner, then went to lukenbauch for a concert! It was a great weekend.

Everything happens for a reason.

I often think about this, and I so know it to be true. Every thing does happen for a reason. There is a  plan out there much bigger than ours. I get so sad thinking about my grandma not being with us anymore. It has been almost 10 years since she has passed away and the pain is still there the same it was June 16, 2005. I stop and look at my life now and think, I wish she could have met Eric. She would have loved him. I wish she could have been at my wedding. After I have these thoughts I think, if she was still here, I wouldn't be where I am today. I would have never met Eric, I wouldn't be married ( to him at least), and my life would be completely different. I love Eric more than anything, he is perfect for me and I'm pretty positive I am perfect for him. He loves me for me and loves everything about me which is all anyone wants. I can't imagine my life with anyone else. These are the two BIGGEST parts of my life. It saddens me so much that they never got to meet. I know they will one day. God has a plan and I am so glad he does.

Mini vacation to Austin/Dallas!

We The We We had a busy week/weekend last week!  We had plans to go to Dallas for the UT VS UCLA game at Cowboys stadium with Eric's family, and then Macy's asked Eric to go to UT Wednesday to recruit ! We ended up making a mini vacay out of it.

We left early Wednesday morning so Eric could be there by 10:30. He had to be there from 11-5. We couldn't check into the hotel Macy's got for us (Eric) so I had to entertain myself for 6 hours 😩. I thought I would be in the mood to shop. I wasn't. I bounced from the Domain, Barnes and Noble, Target, Starbucks and then I browsed the co op and he was FINALLY done.

That night we planned on going to dinner at Romeos but when we were on our way there I looked it up and they closed! So we ended up going to Quattro Gatti, I think. It's on congress right in front of the Capitol. (Me and Bree ate there the night I found my wedding dress!). After dinner we went to a jazz bar and met with Eric's friend Ryan and Tana for drinks and to catch up.

We woke up early the next morning to go paddle boarding! I had been wanting to for so long. We went to the Texas rowing center and it was about $15 an hour so not too bad. We brought food with us so we had a picnic lunch afterwards. We are so cute. We were able to check into our next hotel after lunch so we checked in, changed and headed to the mall. We had dinner at Matts, one of our favorites and then headed to 6th street. We spent the whole night at Petes dueling piano bar, SO FUN. We had both never been and se loved it. We would definitely go again

Friday morning we woke up super early. We had woke up early every morning before so it wasn't really a big deal. We knew we needed to wake up early if we were going to wait in at franklins for bbq. We got there around 8 and didn't end up eating until around 12:15. It was worth the wait for a one time thing. If we were in austin again and wanted bbq we probably would just chose the county line or the salt lick but it's definitely worth having at least once.

After eating we headed to Dallas. We didn't do much there. We had dinner with the California family and friends Friday night. Saturday morning we had brunch with Nathan and Ashley. The game was at 7 but everyone going got there around 4 so they could tailgate. Me and Krisha stayed behind with Mike. We took him to a dog park and then found our selves in forth worth at the stockyards. We found a dog friendly restaurant and walked a little bit before heading back

It was a great trip!

Texas Football

Eric's dad scored us free tickets to the UT VS IOWA ST game this weekend! One day I hope to get Eric season tickets ;) one day when we are rich.

We left early Saturday so we could make it to austin in time for lunch. We had bbq. What else? We went to bob mulliers in south east austin and it was delicious. Eric says the best pork ribs he has EVER had one of the top 3 briskests.

It was really good. We will definitely go back.

UT games are so fun. Even though I don't care that much for football I really enjoy going to these games, Eric probably doesn't want to hear that. Anywas it was a fun weekend with his dad and Krisha ! Thanks Brian for the tickets!

How did I forgot to mention Matthew McConaughey was there?! 😍 he is my favorite!

Brittany Limbocker, Pioneer Woman?

Every Saturday morning I watch the new episode of The Pioneer Woman on The Food Network. If I am home durning the day at 4:00pm I'm usually watching the reruns too.

For some reason I have never minded watching reruns or movies that I have seen before. I could watch the same episode of a show 5 times and not care. I think I get that from my dad, if that's something you inherent? No? Maybe not. Anyways, Eric is the complete opposite, movies, TV shows, if he has seen it he's not watching it again.

Ok, back to the Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman. Something about the shows makes me want to move on to a ranch in the middle of Texas preferably (she's in OK) and just spend all day homeschooling my kids and making sure I have breakfast, lunch and dinner ready for the kids and my beloved husband. I don't see Eric ever being a rancher, or us running a cattle farm, but I do think I would love it. She makes the most delicious meals every episode and makes them look so simple. I have made of few of her recipies and Eric even got me one of her cookbooks for Christmas last year. Maybe I should just keep watching her on TV and not try to pressure Eric to buy a big piece of land in the middle of Texas, quit his job and buy 200 cows so I can stay home and cook all day. I'm sure I'll be on to something new next week. Maybe moving to California, or New York? There's Macy's is New York, right? ;)

Scentsy !

As of August 3, 2014 I now sell Scentsy! It was kind of an impulsive decision but I think it was a good one. I thought about it for a day or two and talked with Eric. Of course he had to do extensive research about the company and what direct selling entails. He finally gave me the OK. I love Scentsy products and we need extra money right now since we are trying to save.

I had my first party last thursday. Amy was so kind to host for me! You are supposed to throw your own launch party but since I don't live close to anyone I had to have it at her house. We had a phenomenal turn out with almost 20 people and close to $1,000 in sales! I would say it was a success.
